FOCUS: Allen Park Family Chiropractic

Dr. Jennifer Mastropietro-Warren – or Dr. Jen – opened the doors of Allen Park Family Chiropractic on April 7, 2008 after practicing for five years with a doctor in Clinton Township, Michigan.

Dr. Jen's story

“Shortly after I got my drivers license I was hit by a drunk driver,” explains Mastropietro-Warren. The accident put her in a wheel chair for weeks as her leg and arm on the same side of her body were severely broken. “I didn’t want drugs, and chiropractic seemed to help.”

Mastropietro-Warren comes from a long line of Allen Parkers dating back to her grandparents who were born and raised here. In 1995 Mastropietro-Warren graduated from Allen Park High School, before attending Michigan State University, Life University, and Logan College of University Chiropractic where she acquired her Doctrate Degree.

“This was the only time I didn’t live in Allen Park,” says Mastropietro-Warren.

Services

Allen Park Family Chiropractic provides “use-of-hands” chiropractic care for “full-spine adjusting”, which means all the joints of the body, and “trigger points”, which are focused points of pain or tension. The first visit usually requires an evaluation based on a state-of-the-art digital X-Ray.

The office also employs three massage therapists, Audrey, Holly and Terrie who focus on stress and muscle pain.

“Most people don’t realize that many health insurances cover massage therapy,” adds Mastropietro-Warren.

Chiropractic care is for all ages. Mastropietro-Warren points out that her youngest patient was just six minutes old, and her oldest patient was 103 years young!

Maxine is the Office Manager who greets you at the front desk, and takes care of the administrivia that accompanies your visit. Odds are you will also be greeted (rather lazily, I might add) by Mastropietro-Warren’s dog, Bella.

Bella is the office greeter who barely picks up her head when you visit.

Dr. Jen has been married to Ben Warren for about 3 years, who also was born and raised in Allen Park. They have hopes of raising a family. Besides Bella, they have a cat named “Pepper”.

Being part of Community

Mastropietro-Warren is a Rotarian, and teaches Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology at Baker College in Allen Park. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and continues to be a generous supporter of the community including Relay for Life, Race for a Cure, The Allen Park Historical Museum and Friends of the Libraries, and each year she donates her own hair to Children with Hair Loss. She also supports the Michigan Association of Chiropractic.

FocusALLENPARK.com thanks Dr. Jen and all of Allen Park Family Chiropractic for their support, and for the support they give their town. Visit the Allen Park Family Chiropractic page.
